About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to play a crucial role in enabling our organization to effectively leverage data for decision-making, insights generation, and business growth.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, working closely with data scientists, analysts, and other partners to ensure the flawless flow of data.

Responsibilities

  1. Designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines
  2. Serving as a core member of an agile team that drives user story analysis and elaboration, designs, and develops responsive web applications using the best engineering practices
  3. Closely working with data scientists, analysts, and other partners to ensure the flawless flow of data
  4. Building and optimizing reports for analytical and business purposes
  5. Monitoring and solving data pipelines issues to ensure smooth operation
  6. Implementing data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data
  7. Implementing data governance policies, access controls, and security measures to protect critical data and ensure compliance
  8. Developing a deep understanding of integrations with other systems and platforms within the supported domains
  9. Bringing a culture of innovation, ideas, and continuous improvement
  10. Challenging the status quo, demonstrating risk-taking, and implementing creative ideas
  11. Leading your own time and working well both independently and as part of a team
  12. Adopting emerging standards while promoting best practices and consistent framework usage
  13. Working with Product Owners to define requirements for new features and plan increments of work

Minimum Qualifications

  1. BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical subject area or equivalent 3-4 years of work experience
  2. At least 5 years of hands-on experience with SQL, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning
  3. Experience with distributed computing frameworks like Hadoop, Hive, Spark for processing large-scale data sets
  4. Proficiency in any of the programming languages, Python, PySpark for building data pipelines and automation scripts
  5. Understanding of cloud computing and exposure to any cloud GCP, AWS, or Azure
  6. Knowledge of CICD, GIT commands, and deployment processes
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and optimize data processing workflows
  8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills
