Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer/Technical Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure Data Engineering, with experience in designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, and Synapse Analytics.

This role involves developing and optimizing data architectures following Medallion Architecture and best practices, as well as performing data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration across structured and unstructured datasets.

The successful candidate will also have expertise in SQL, T-SQL, and Python for data processing and transformation, and hands-on experience with PySpark for big data processing.

In addition, the candidate should have experience in designing ETL/ELT pipelines and working with large datasets, proficiency with Azure Data Lake (ADLS) Gen2 for data storage and processing, and CI/CD and DevOps knowledge, including Azure DevOps, Git, and automated deployments.

Achieving data governance, security, and compliance in Azure-based data solutions is crucial for this role.

The selected candidate will work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data availability.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Data Pipeline Development: Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, and Synapse Analytics.
  • Data Architecture Design: Design and implement scalable data architectures following Medallion Architecture and best practices.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Programming Skills: Expertise in SQL, T-SQL, and Python for data processing and transformation.
  • Big Data Processing: Hands-on experience with PySpark for big data processing.
  • ETL/ELT Pipeline Design: Experience in designing ETL/ELT pipelines and working with large datasets.
  • Cloud-Based Data Solutions: Proficiency with Azure Data Lake (ADLS) Gen2 for data storage and processing.
  • CI/CD and DevOps: CI/CD and DevOps knowledge, including Azure DevOps, Git, and automated deployments.
