Key Responsibilities:

  • System Health Monitoring: Utilize advanced monitoring platforms to track server, network, and application performance.
  • Alert Configuration Optimization: Administer and fine-tune monitoring tools to optimize alert thresholds for efficient incident response.
  • Incident Response: Respond to system alerts, perform initial diagnosis, and troubleshoot issues involving system availability, resource utilization, and performance.
  • OS Administration: Perform basic OS administration tasks across Windows/Linux environments, including patching and service health checks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to escalate critical issues and perform root cause analysis for effective incident resolution.
  • Dashboards and Reports: Develop and maintain dashboards, event logs, and performance reports for capacity planning and SLA compliance.
  • Automation Development: Create automation scripts and schedules for routine checks and remediation to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Performance Tuning: Analyze system performance metrics, tune alerts, and ensure all systems meet defined SLAs and performance benchmarks.
  • Procedure Documentation: Document monitoring procedures, escalation flows, and corrective actions taken to maintain a knowledge base for future reference.

Job Requirements:

  • Required Skills: Proficiency in monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, ManageEngine, and Zabbix. Experience with automation scripting languages like Python or PowerShell.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Knowledge of ITIL framework, experience with cloud-based services, and familiarity with agile project management methodologies.
