As a Program Officer, you will play a pivotal role in implementing high-quality prevention services, focusing on teaching children essential safety skills and conducting awareness sessions with parents, teachers, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement prevention projects for Arpan, providing age-appropriate educational programs to children aged 6-18 years in schools and conducting awareness sessions on child sexual abuse with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
- Document field experiences in a timely manner, maintaining accurate records of project progress.
- Adhere to operational protocols, including timely reporting of field activities to coordinators, ensuring regular reviews with the Coordinator and Manager, Prevention Services.
Expected Qualities:
A strong team player with keenness to work with children is required. Candidates should be able to maintain quality documentation while implementing programs.
Required Skills:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in English language (additional languages an asset).
Desired Attributes:
- Flexibility to work in a large team environment.
- Ability to travel locally.
- Multilingualism with fluency in English.
Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a degree or postgraduate degree in Education, Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Child Development, or related fields.
