Job Title: Assembly Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring the successful execution of production plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily Production Planning: Develop and implement daily production plans to meet established turnover targets.
  • Assembly Area Management: Supervise and monitor assembly area activities, including employee delegation, working procedures, materials, processes, and tools to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met.
  • Tech Support: Provide technical assistance to technicians by coordinating with various departments (Logistics, Warehouse, Design, etc.)
  • KPI Monitoring: Track and record key performance indicators for assembly groups, initiating corrective measures as necessary.
  • Team Meetings: Conduct regular meetings with team members to discuss production status and provide feedback on safety and quality issues.
  • Training and Development: Plan, assign, and assist in the training and development of technicians, updating skills matrices and development plans as needed.
  • Improvement Projects: Organize, lead, and execute improvement projects and activities within the assembly area.
  • Audit Handling: Coordinate internal and external ISO audits, ensuring documentation, processes, and employee trainings are compliant.
  • Productivity Tracking: Monitor input man-hours versus output man-hours to report monthly productivity figures for responsible assembly groups.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: Typically 4 years of experience in a related field, demonstrating Key Responsibilities and Knowledge outlined in the job profile.
  • Communication Skills: Professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
  • EHS Knowledge: Basic understanding of environmental health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Familiarity with lean principles and techniques for optimizing processes and eliminating waste.
  • Computer Literacy: Basic knowledge of computers and office productivity software.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Supervisory Experience: Demonstrated knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures for supervising teams, applying supervisory approaches for work direction, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary action on the shop floor.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt working approach as per business requirements.
  • Negotiation Skills: Effective negotiation skills for resolving issues related to technicians at grass-roots levels.
