Key Responsibilities
  • We act as the key point of contact between buyers and internal teams (production, design, quality, etc.)
  • Buyer requirements need to be understood, samples developed, and timely approvals ensured
  • TNA calendars for each order need to be prepared and managed effectively
  • The sourcing of raw materials, production schedules, and quality parameters need to be followed up
  • Cordination with vendors and suppliers is required to ensure timely procurement of trims and fabrics
  • Order status, production progress, and delivery timelines need to be monitored to avoid delays
  • Costing sheets need to be prepared and prices negotiated with buyers and suppliers
  • Buyer communications regarding order updates, changes, and queries need to be managed
  • Market research is necessary to stay updated on trends, pricing, and buyer expectations
  • All merchandising records, reports, and documentation need to be maintained accurately
  • Quality standards and buyer compliance requirements need to be adhered to
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related field is required
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities are needed
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with ERP/MIS systems is necessary
  • Knowledge of fabric types, trims, washes, and garment construction is required
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
