Job Description:

This role is a critical part of the Accounts Receivable (AR) management team, supporting key markets and customers. The Credit Analyst is responsible for reviewing business plans, providing credit alignment, verifying and processing sales orders, managing portfolio accounts, and coordinating with commercial teams and customers for payments.

The individual will directly interface with internal and external customers to resolve account discrepancies and build long-lasting relationships to drive collections and manage overdue accounts.

The analyst will collaborate with other Credit team members and peers in Commercial, Billing, Cash Application, Commercial Finance, Operations, and Tax to identify and resolve issues related to order release and potential cash flow problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform credit reviews for customers in relevant markets, ensuring required documents are in place for assigning credit and defining the correct risk category in the system.
  • Coordinate with commercial and commercial finance teams to pre-align credit requirements for respective markets/customers based on sales plans and initiate required actions/approvals.
  • Manage portfolio accounts handled within prescribed policies and service sales orders.
  • Conduct daily collection activities, including contacting customers/commercial teams for past dues, sales coordinators for payment advice, and TBO teams for cash applications.
  • Support C-form collections, reconcile accounts, and send follow-up inquiries.
  • Coordinate with Credit Insurance Companies and provide required information for coverage, timely updates, and follow-ups.
  • Maintain high-level performance of customer portfolios, driving process improvements in the end-to-end Order-to-Cash cycle.
  • Encourage timely debt payments, maintain/update account status records, and collection efforts (SAP Logs).
  • Investigate and resolve aged AR transactions for all assigned accounts by the Manager-Order-to-Cash.
  • Verify customer reconciliations and escalate disputes with Commercial Finance for resolution.
  • Provide weekly reports on collection activity and accounts receivable status.
  • Perform monthly AML testing, monitor/escalate unapplied collections, maintain cheque bounce trackers, and escalate recurring cases.
  • Structure and own deduction resolution strategies to identify and process account adjustments.
  • Quarterly bad debt provision and write-off working.
  • Reduction in 90-day outstanding and DSO improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records, including notes on customer communication and follow-up plans.
  • Create reports relating to account receivable and cash flow forecasting.
  • Support internal/statutory audits of accounts receivable and improve efficiency.
  • Engage in projects and process improvement initiatives assigned by the Credit Manager.
  • Escalate potential defaults to the Manager-Order-to-Cash for review and appropriate action.
