Global Optimization Specialist

This position plays a key role in optimizing production planning and raw material blending across global operations, with a strong focus on efficiency, quality control, and analytics.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Blend Planning: Develop and manage blend schedules for pet coke feedstock to minimize costs while meeting quality specs.
  • Inventory & Production Monitoring: Track inventories and production rates; ensure alignment with shipment schedules for seamless delivery.
  • Cost Efficiency: Evaluate sourcing options and logistics to optimize costs without compromising quality.
  • Predictive Planning: Build and maintain business models using AI tools and Linear Programming (LP) for informed decision-making.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Technical Services, Operations, and Commercial teams globally to drive results.
  • SAP & Reporting: Handle SAP transactions and generate reports on production, inventory, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in planning/blending, preferably in carbon/metallurgical industries.
  • Strong LP modeling and analytical skills to drive data-driven decisions.
  • SAP and advanced Excel proficiency to handle complex data sets.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for data analysis and optimization.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and adaptability in a global team environment.
