Job Title:

Data Governance Specialist

A highly skilled Data Governance Specialist is needed to drive the implementation of our firm's data ownership program and overall data governance framework. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in data management and governance, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and maintenance of the data owner and data governance framework, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define governance, guidance, risk metrics, and tooling requirements for the data ownership program.
  • Develop and implement standards and procedures related to data governance, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
  • Drive project milestones and phases, identifying key deliverables and action items to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Coordinate with Technology and LOB/CF Chief Data Officer teams to execute project activities, developing risk or operational metrics to facilitate oversight.
  • Design and develop effective presentations and project update materials for senior executives.
  • Participate in work stream meetings and ad hoc working sessions, driving agendas, preparing meeting minutes, and tracking agreed actions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Formal training or certification in data management concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Proven ability to write and edit standards, control procedures, guidelines, and training materials.
  • Experience with Agile Development methodologies, partnering with development teams to deliver tools and solutions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Able to manage complexity and multiple work streams while delivering solutions within tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in project management tools and Microsoft Office skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of data management and governance is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related areas.
  • Familiarity with developing or maintaining risk, program, or operational metrics.
  • Familiarity with Tableau/visualization/workflow automation tools.
