Backend Software Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Software Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable APIs using Node.js and Express.js.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in building high-performance architectures, optimizing server and database performance, and implementing effective caching strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js
  • Optimizing server and database performance and implementing caching strategies
  • Handling authentication and authorization using OAuth, JWT, RBAC
  • Working with microservices and event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
  • Maintaining clean, well-documented code following SOLID principles
  • Collaborating with DevOps to deploy, monitor, and scale services in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Mentoring junior developers and conducting regular code reviews
  • Troubleshooting and debugging production issues to maintain system reliability
  • Contributing to and improving CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows
  • Staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies

Requirements for this position include:

  • 3.5+ years of backend development experience
  • Proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, and RESTful API design
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, query optimization, and schema design
  • Familiarity with event-driven architecture, message queues, and microservices
  • Understanding of backend security standards and system design principles
  • Exposure to DevOps tools, containerization (Docker), and cloud deployments
  • Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills
