Immigration Paralegal Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal to join our team in a rapidly growing boutique immigration firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a high-volume caseload, collaborating with inter-firm teams to ensure efficiency and exceptional quality of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review and edit complex visa cases including NIWs, O-1s, E-2s, EB-1s, and PERM-based I-140s and I-485s.
  • Independently manage a caseload, ensuring seamless coordination and adherence to submission deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively and promptly with clients throughout the visa process, providing timely updates on case progression and status.
  • Provide regular reports to legal teams and managers on case status.
  • Liaise with government agencies to facilitate smooth case processing.
  • Support lawyers in gathering evidence, preparing supplementary documents, creating evidentiary exhibits, and adhering to procedural stipulations.
  • Employ strategic thinking and initiative in case assignments, identifying and rectifying delays in the process.
  • Prepare and coordinate document production and responses to RFEs (Requests for Evidence).
  • Maintain accurate records, track cases consistently, and adhere to firm policies.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Minimum three years of experience in immigration law, specifically with O-1s, NIWs, and EB-1As. A Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate is highly valued.
