Construction Project Manager Job DescriptionJob Title: Construction Project Manager

As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to completion. This involves ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

You will be the key point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and project team members, providing guidance, support, and direction as needed. Your role will involve coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders to ensure that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring that they remain within budget.
  • Coordinate with project team members, including engineers, architects, and contractors, to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage and mitigate risks associated with construction projects, including health and safety risks, environmental risks, and contractual risks.
  • Ensure that all project documentation, including contracts, reports, and meeting minutes, is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify that work is progressing in accordance with the project plan and that quality and safety standards are being met.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that project deliverables meet client expectations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in a field such as construction management, engineering, or architecture.
  • Proven experience in construction project management, preferably with a track record of delivering large-scale projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Proficiency in project management software, including Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and Autodesk.
