Overview

Vena Energy seeks a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist to support the effective implementation of policies and procedures. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing administrative and operational tasks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting, reviewing, and maintaining records as required under Compliance and Governance and related ESG policies, including counterparty screening processes, whistleblower and corporate feedback channel reporting, corporate social responsibility activities, donation requests, business courtesy reporting and records, conflicts of interest disclosures, sanctions and E&S red flag risk screenings;
  • Maintaining and updating Compliance and Governance program documentation on SharePoint, including incorporating regulatory changes or internal policy updates and version control, configuring and organizing SharePoint libraries for optimal accessibility and security;
  • Managing and supporting Compliance and Governance training programs, and ad hoc ESG-related training, including developing the annual training schedule and coordinating with other departments (HSSE, IT, ESG) on overall training schedule for employees, tracking training and attestation completion and maintenance of metrics, providing user management support for training platforms;
  • Preparing ad hoc, daily, weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly Compliance and Governance metrics reports for management and board reporting;
  • Collaborating with IT to design, develop, and maintain a Compliance and Governance dashboard for real-time metrics;
  • Supporting the implementation and oversight of the enterprise risk management system, including maintaining governing policies, an internal risk register, and applicable controls;
  • Supporting Compliance testing and internal audits, including tracking results and remediation requirements;
  • Providing administration support for the team, including maintaining a centralized calendar for Compliance and Governance activities, scheduling calls and meetings, managing travel arrangements, and processing invoice payment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree;
  • 2-3 years of experience in compliance, governance, or a related field (bonus if you have experience in energy or infrastructure industries);
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Power BI;
  • Familiarity with tools like Navex or other compliance management systems;
  • An understanding of compliance principles like anti-bribery, anti-corruption, or ESG is a plus;
  • Clear and effective communication – both written and verbal;
  • A sharp eye for detail and an analytical mindset;
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with care and discretion;
  • Proactive, with a 'get things done' attitude and great follow-through;
  • A curious mind, eager to learn and work with others across teams.

Benefits
