Job Title: Senior Counterparty Risk Manager

We are seeking a seasoned professional to provide Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) management for funds, proprietary trading groups, and Central Counterparties.

The ideal candidate will cover a portfolio of clients across one or several client types covered by the team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Risk Analysis:
  • Research and analyze financial data on clients to prepare high-quality analysis addressing credit risk and transaction risk.
  • Perform risk assessments, including due diligence on clients when required.
  • Risk Mitigation:
  • Effectively challenge credit ratings and limits proposed by the first line of defense.
  • Monitor risk exposures across various metrics and indicators, and assess counterparty creditworthiness.
  • Reporting and Communication:
  • Raise alerts as necessary to the business, first line of defense, and 2nd line of defense management.
  • Review or propose risk mitigation strategies when deemed necessary.
  • Present recommendations for risk limits, one-off transactions, and credit ratings to risk officers.
  • Coordinate credit requests, liaise with Business Lines, Legal staffs, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of overall credit analysis experience preferably in Financial Institution space.

Candidate must possess a CA degree/MBA (in Finance) from a reputed institution.

Additional certification like Financial Risk Management (FRM) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) would be a plus.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills:
  • Good quantitative skills.
  • Experience in reading and understanding legal documentation.
  • Ability to form, defend, and enforce a risk judgement and take decisions independently.
  • Behavioral Skills:
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to work in a global team with international exposure.
