Lead Financial Data Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the development of our financial data architecture. This role involves designing and implementing scalable, trusted, and cost-optimized financial data solutions using Snowflake, dbt, and modern data engineering practices.

This position requires strong technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance across teams. The ideal candidate will have 12-15 years of professional experience in data engineering or data platform roles, with 5+ years working with Snowflake (or equivalent MPP systems) and 3+ years using dbt for data modeling, transformation, and governance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and lead Snowflake solutions for enterprise-grade data warehouse systems.
  • Own dbt data modeling for financial data transformations, lineage, and governance.
  • Translate complex accounting and financial concepts into technical designs and data flows.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Accounting leaders to understand business drivers, risks, and reporting requirements.
  • Build and optimize robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake and dbt.
  • Ensure data accuracy, auditability, and compliance with financial reporting requirements and internal controls.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong SQL expertise and ability to design efficient queries.
  • Experience partnering with Finance/Accounting teams to implement data solutions.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and ability to map financial processes to technical solutions.
  • Proven record of leading teams/projects and driving cross-functional delivery.
