MongoDB Admin Job Description

As a MongoDB Admin, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and availability of our database systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and maintain MongoDB/Atlas databases to achieve maximum scalability and reliability. Create efficient data storage solutions by designing and implementing sharding and indexing strategies.

  • Develop and enforce robust backup and disaster recovery procedures to minimize data loss and ensure business continuity.

  • Configure and monitor replica sets to guarantee high availability and data consistency. Perform patch upgrades to stay up-to-date with the latest features and security patches.

  • Design and build operational infrastructure to support databases, including user management and access control.

  • Establish and enforce database security procedures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and standards to ensure that our database systems are optimized for performance and security.

  • Provide excellent support to users using incident problem management tools to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of MongoDB/Atlas databases and their applications.

  • Experience with database administration, including deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and business intelligence.

  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
