Job Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to assume the role of Construction Estimator. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for creating detailed cost estimates and providing expert advice on building economics, tendering procedures, and contract management.

  • Prepare pricing documents for tender packages.
  • Draft instructions to tenderers.
  • Develop tender evaluation criteria.
  • Draft PQQ questionnaires.
  • Evaluate all tender submissions commercially and negotiate with tenderers.
  • Ascertain amounts due to contractors for price variations.
  • Determine claims amounts.

You will also be responsible for preparing and submitting regular Cost Reports.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.
  • 5-10 years' experience in construction estimation is necessary.
  • A strong understanding of QS & cost management processes is essential.
  • Chartered QS under recognized organizations (RICS, SCSI, AIQS, NZIQS) is a requirement.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and IT literacy is needed.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work rapidly and accurately under pressure are essential.
  • The ability to coordinate with other staff across Global offices is necessary.
  • An organized self-starter with attention to detail and the ability to work independently is required.
