About the Role

The Data Specialist will be responsible for working on advanced financial data projects involving analysis and modeling.

This experience is designed to provide hands-on exposure to data science in the context of asset management and trading.

Responsibilities include:

  • Data cleaning, wrangling, and pre-processing for financial datasets.
  • Supporting teams in equity research, fixed income research, portfolio management, and economic analysis.
  • Applying statistical techniques to financial problems such as credit risk modeling, probability of default, and value-at-risk estimation.
  • Working with big data sources including financial reports, macroeconomic datasets, and alternative investment data.
  • Analyzing, visualizing, and modeling financial data using Python, Excel, or R.
  • Participating in research projects related to quantitative trading, financial derivatives, and portfolio optimization.

To succeed in this position, you should have strong problem-solving and analytical skills. You should also be able to self-learn and work independently in a remote environment.
