Senior Web Developer - WordPress Expert

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Web Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of WordPress architecture, themes, and plugins, and be capable of turning project requirements into functional, responsive websites.

This role involves designing and developing custom WordPress themes and plugins, as well as maintaining and updating existing WordPress websites. The successful candidate will also be responsible for optimizing websites for performance, speed, and SEO best practices, collaborating with designers, developers, and project managers to deliver high-quality web solutions, troubleshooting and resolving website issues and bugs, integrating third-party APIs and services, and staying updated with the latest WordPress trends, tools, and best practices.

  • Design and Develop Custom Solutions: Create custom WordPress themes and plugins that meet project requirements and provide high-quality web solutions.
  • Maintain and Update Existing Websites: Ensure existing WordPress websites are up-to-date, secure, and optimized for performance.
  • Optimize Website Performance: Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices to ensure they are user-friendly and search engine friendly.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with designers, developers, and project managers to deliver high-quality web solutions that meet client expectations.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve website issues and bugs efficiently and effectively.
  • Stay Updated: Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends, tools, and best practices to ensure the highest quality solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field: A degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
  • 3+ Years of Professional Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in WordPress development is required.
  • Strong Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL: Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL is essential.
  • Experience with Popular Page Builders: Experience with popular page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Version Control Systems: Familiarity with version control systems like Git is necessary.
  • Knowledge of Website Performance Optimization: Knowledge of website performance optimization and security best practices is required.
  • Basic Understanding of SEO Fundamentals: Basic understanding of SEO fundamentals is essential.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
  • Experience with WooCommerce or Other WordPress-Based eCommerce Platforms: Experience with WooCommerce or other WordPress-based eCommerce platforms is desirable.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and AJAX: Familiarity with RESTful APIs and AJAX is beneficial.
  • Understanding of Web Hosting, cPanel, and DNS Configuration: Understanding of web hosting, cPanel, and DNS configuration is useful.
  • Experience with Website Migration and Backups: Experience with website migration and backups is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is desirable.
