Senior SAP SD Functional Consultant Role

This position serves as a strategic designer and liaison, providing expert assistance to diverse teams by deeply understanding business processes and requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading workshops to gather and validate business needs.
  • Performing system configuration, functional documentation, testing plans, executing testing, tracking results, system documentation, and producing training materials.
  • Suggesting new SAP functionality to the business, involving review of business processes and system integration challenges.
  • Conducting fit/gap assessments to determine areas of configuration that can be leveraged.
  • Participating in proof of concept analyses and prototypes to ensure proposed designs meet business requirements.
  • Establishing credibility at all levels with clients and building problem-solving partnerships with clients and colleagues (Relationship Management).
  • Ensuring systems design and development meets end-user needs by developing/reviewing test plans and test scripts.
  • Ambassadors for SAP benefits across the organization; promoting SAP knowledge and usage throughout the organization.
  • Preparing detailed functional specifications for development activities including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.

Broad Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in SAP SD module or similar.
  • Advanced skills within specific SAP modules or applications - SD and LE (Shipping).
  • Knowledge of Integration with MM/LE and FI. Knowledge of CRM integration is beneficial.
  • Ability to map business requirements to system configuration.
  • Configuration knowledge of sales orders, delivery, customer master, billing, serial number, Handling Units.
  • Experience in multiple SAP implementations, ideally two full-life cycle implementations.
  • Basic understanding of ABAP programming, IDOCs, Enhancements, Interfaces, and User exits.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Possession of relevant SAP certification in SD is advantageous.
