Job Title: CAD Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled CAD Design Engineer to join our team at UST. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop complex parts and assemblies using Creo CAD software.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including tool makers and injection molders, to ensure design for manufacture requirements.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers to analyze and optimize designs for structural integrity and manufacturability.
  • Apply knowledge of good design practices, including DFMEA and DFM/ DFA principles.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in CAD technology.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in CAD design and development.
  • Highly proficient in CAD software, with specific expertise in Creo.
  • Strong understanding of part design, GD&T, and SPI standards for plastic design.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and electromechanical enclosure design.
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering design and analysis principles.
  • Ability to effectively work with cross-functional stakeholders.
