Job Title:

 

The Operations Manager will oversee the aggregation centre and project management teams to ensure efficient production and sales of plastic waste.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Aggregation Centre and Project Management:
    • Network with companies, vendors, and stakeholders to identify high-quality raw materials in loose or bale form.
    • Manage segregation of scrap based on quality standards.
    • Manage site-level production teams to ensure production meets planned targets.
    • Develop go-to-market strategies for sales (recyclers and manufacturers).
    • Work with partners to add value to the feedstock – to either washed flakes or granules.
    • Create a market for different items of Phugga.
    • Ensure factory compliance and implement Lean manufacturing principles and six sigma design processes.
    • Identify and implement key projects and kaizens to increase productivity.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Provide timely, concise, and accurate reports on project progress.
    • Standardize machine inspection check sheets, pre-dispatch check sheets, and operation check sheets.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold a degree in Chemical/ Mechanical/ Plastics Engineering. An MBA would be an added advantage.
  • Have 5-7 years of experience in Operations.
  • Possess good Sales/Customer relationship management skills, good negotiation skill, good vendor/stakeholder management skill, and very good networking skills.
  • Have a good understanding of plastics and plastic recycling.
  • Possess attention to detail.
  • Be a multi-tasker, managing multiple projects in a manner that focuses the team and drives results.
  • Exhibit excellent people management skills.
  • Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the mission.
  • Be fluent in English & Tamil. In addition, Hindi would be an advantage.
