Job Title:
Oracle Database Administrator

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Oracle Database Administrator to help us design, implement, and maintain high-performance databases that support our clients' needs.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and resolving database bottlenecks affecting application performance. This includes tuning SQL queries, PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, and indexes for optimal response times.

Additionally, the successful candidate will work with API Gateway teams to optimize database interaction patterns, ensure efficient database design for web applications with high concurrency, and monitor system health, query execution plans, and workload statistics.

The selected individual will also have strong analytical skills and the ability to work in cross-functional agile teams. Excellent communication skills are necessary to interact with application developers, architects, and operations teams.

  • Performance Optimization & Tuning:
    • Analyze and resolve database bottlenecks affecting application performance.
    • Tune SQL queries, PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, and indexes for optimal response times.
  • Application & Middleware Integration Support:
    • Work with API Gateway teams to optimize database interaction patterns.
    • Ensure efficient database design for web applications with high concurrency.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Monitor system health, query execution plans, and workload statistics.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 6–8 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA, with emphasis on Application DBA responsibilities.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Oracle 12c/19c performance tuning, indexing, partitioning, optimizer hints.
    • SQL and PL/SQL development and debugging.
  • Experience supporting web applications, API-driven architectures, or middleware platforms.

Preferred/Bonus Skills:

  • Exposure to Oracle GoldenGate or other replication tools.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and DevOps pipelines for DB changes.
