This role is ideal for a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional with excellent communication skills. The Collections Analyst will be responsible for managing and resolving receivables related queries received from customers.

  • The successful candidate will support customers to resolve billing issues, reconcile accounts, and drive monthly collection targets.
  • Strong ownership and ability to earn trust with customers are essential in facilitating timely payment.
  • A collaborative approach with various stakeholders (Billing, Finance, Legal, Tax, Customer Service) is crucial in resolving customer disputes and queries.
  • Maintaining detailed post correspondence updates on accounts receivable records is vital in ensuring aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared.
  • High-risk accounts must be monitored, and challenges escalated to management in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understanding of Accounts Receivables process.
  • Follow-up with customers via emails and phone calls to ensure timely collection of payments for assigned portfolio.
  • Maintain detailed post correspondence update on accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders (Billing, Finance, Legal, Tax, Customer Service) to resolve customer disputes and queries, to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Monitor high-risk accounts and ensure timely escalation of challenges to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and commerce (B. Com).
  • Knowledge of Excel at an advanced level.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of finance operations/shared services, accounts payable, account receivable (collections) or general ledger experience.
