Telecommunications ICT Engineer

Job Role:

As a Telecommunications ICT Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of cutting-edge telecommunications systems. Your primary responsibility will be to design and publish telecommunications designs to support projects by undertaking detailed designs relating to ICT and Telecommunications Systems.

Your expertise will be utilized to create structured cabling systems, communications rooms, outside plant infrastructure, active ICT networks, wireless LAN and Wi-Fi modeling, RF systems, technology platforms, and various other subsystems. You will also be responsible for preparing reports, specifications, calculations, and drawings to enable tendering of works.

In this position, you will collaborate with engineers, vendors, and contractors to deliver high-quality telecommunications solutions. Additionally, you will provide specialist technical support, mentor junior staff, and manage allocated teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

To excel in this role, you should possess extensive experience in leading, producing, and checking ICT and Telecommunications designs. Your proficiency in network design principles, critical environments, and innovative thinking will drive success in this position.

  • IP-based Access Control Systems
  • Multi-mode Intruder Detection Systems
  • Wireless Network Architecture
  • Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) including;
  • Video Intercom Systems
  • Passenger Help Points
  • BMS (Building Management System)
  • Telephony
  • Long Term Evolution (LTE Radio) propagation modeling, base station configuration, bandwidth management.
  • Expertise in conceptual reports, telecommunications scheme designs, project documentation, specifications, contract schedules, implementation/construction plans, and costings.
  • Proficiency in developing, analyzing, assessing, and implementing Network Bandwidth allocation for MPLS converged networks.
  • Required Office Software: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, At least one of the following: Visio, Bluebeam (including Bluebeam Studio), Ekahau, Revit, Autodesk AutoCAD, Aconex.
