The Business Valuation Group is a specialized entity providing business valuations, expert testimony in commercial and matrimonial disputes, and investigations of potential fraud. Our team is responsible for:

  • Extracting and mapping data from financial statements, tax returns, bank statements, and other relevant documents into valuation models and Excel-based tools to inform business decisions.
  • Conducting research on industry trends, guideline public companies, and precedent transactions to stay ahead of the market.
  • Analyzing historical and projected financial statements to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for further investigation, ensuring accuracy and precision in our assessments.
  • Applying normalization adjustments to financial statements to provide a comprehensive view of business performance.
  • Assisting in building and refining valuation models, performing adjustments, and applying quantitative techniques to support business valuation conclusions, driving informed decision-making.
  • Contributing to the drafting of narrative sections of valuation reports, documenting key assumptions, methodologies, and conclusions in clear and professional language to ensure clarity and transparency.
  • Prioritizing projects and participating in scheduling meetings to manage workload efficiently.
  • In time, overseeing all stages of the valuation project life cycle, applying appropriate valuation methodologies, reconciling value indications, and preparing and finalizing valuation reports to meet client expectations.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • A business valuation credential (CFA), CA, MBA, or other advanced degree or certification.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills to work effectively in a team environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Minimum four years of experience in accounting or finance.
