Job Title: Hardware Design Engineer

Job Summary:

  • Drive next-generation automotive audio system HW architecture and component selection.
  • Select and recommend semiconductor solutions for automotive audio, circuit/PCB design, and develop electronic components/systems ensuring high-quality sound and seamless vehicle technology integration.
  • Collaborate with vehicle Architecture/system Design, safety engineer & Buyer/purchasing teams to ensure chosen components meet performance, reliability, and cost requirements.
  • Propose the right electronic audio components including Audio amplifiers, Microphone interface/Audio ADC, Audio DSP, Audio power circuitry/PMIC, Speaker interface, Digital audio interfaces (A2B, Ethernet, etc).
  • Familiarity with automotive safety and quality standards such as ISO 26262 and AEC-Q100.
  • Experience with acoustic measurement instruments and audio data acquisition, analysis systems and Audio Precision.
  • Work proactively with silicon vendor partners to drive design features and technology roadmap.
  • Support HW Engineering group during advanced design phases, system architecture definitions and ECU development/Qualifications.
  • Ability to collaborate with global teams spread across different regions and time zones.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics, Telecommunication or equivalent engineering field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in automotive embedded electronics designs or hardware/system architectural role.
  • Knowledge of In-vehicle infotainment system, Audio system, Automotive vehicle connectivity systems and ECU design, development, and testing.
  • Experience in Automotive ECU design, Audio standards, automotive testing and certification.
  • Strong teamwork spirit, excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in automotive area (OEM, TIER1, TIER2).
  • Experience in In-vehicle infotainment system, Audio system, Automotive vehicle connectivity systems and ECU design.
  • Understanding and knowledge of Board software/Bring up software, Audio DSP and MCUs.
  • Knowledge of safety standards including ISO 26262, Euro NAP, and Security regulations would be a plus.
