Electrical Design Specialist

**Job Overview:**

  • We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Specialist to design, implement and maintain electrical systems for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems, equipment specifications, and other related processes for commercial, industrial, and domestic projects.
  • Prepare detailed technical drawings, calculations, and specifications for electrical systems using computer-assisted engineering software.
  • Perform complex calculations and prepare relevant technical specifications, sequence of operations, and details for projects as per customer requirements.
  • Review design concepts, calculations, and drawings to ensure accuracy, code compliance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Review engineering submittals, shop drawings, and construction administration procedures to provide quick turnaround during the project's construction phase.
  • Develop training modules, calculation procedures, and company tools used in Design & Execution. Train junior engineers to conform to standards and improve performances.
  • Coordinate with clients, project managers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of projects as per schedule and requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant codes, including NYC Building Code, International Codes, Electrical Code, Energy Code, NFPA Standards, and ASHRAE Standards.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in electrical design engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Experience working with building services and MEP coordination.
  • Team handling experience and good communication skills.
  • Preferable experience with international projects.
