Embedded Hardware Design Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Hardware Design Engineer to join our team. As an Embedded Hardware Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing hardware systems, including circuit boards, sensors, actuators, and communication modules.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of analog, digital and mixed signal circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout tools. You should also have experience with microcontroller, DSP & ARM controller programming and interfacing with various sensors and actuators.

Familiarity with wireless protocols such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, Ethernet / LAN connectivity is a plus. Additionally, understanding of different types of sensors (temperature, humidity, motion, etc.) and actuators (motors, relays, etc.) commonly used in IoT applications is essential.

You should have knowledge of low/medium power Switch Mode Power Supplies- SMPS- AC/DC and DC/DC converters design and testing procedures, battery management, and energy-efficient hardware design techniques.

Proficiency in using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and soldering equipment for hardware testing and debugging is required. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations for hardware, such as safety certifications and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements is also necessary.

The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex hardware issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.

Strong documentation skills are required to create clear and concise technical documents, as well as effective communication skills for collaboration.
