Job Opportunity: HVAC Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill a HVAC Design Engineer position. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining mechanical systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implementation: Develop and implement mechanical systems, equipment selections, specifications, and other related processes for commercial, industrial, and domestic projects.
  • Techncial Drawings: Prepare detailed technical construction drawings, calculations, and specifications for mechanical systems using computer-assisted engineering or design software/tools.
  • Calculations and Specifications: Perform detailed calculations and prepare relevant technical specifications, sequence of operations, and details for the project as per customer requirements and existing conditions.
  • Code Compliance: Knowledge of Codes including NYC Building Code, International Codes, Mechanical Code, Energy Code, NFPA Standards, ASHRAE Standards, etc.
  • Review and Approval: Review design concept, calculations, drawings to ensure accuracy of design intent, Code Compliance, and customer requirements.
  • Construction Administration: Review Engineering submittals, shop drawings, and various construction administration procedures to provide quick turnaround during the project's construction phase.
  • Training and Development: Develop training modules, calculation procedures, and other company tool development methods used in Design & Execution. Train young engineers to conform to standards and improve performances.
  • Cost Estimation: Develop cost estimation and Bill of materials as per design concept.
  • Teamwork: Coordinate with client, project managers, and vendors to ensure on-time delivery of projects as per schedule and requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 4+ Years of experience
  • Skills: Strong in Revit and AutoCAD, worked with Building Services, international project experience (US preferred)
  • Team Handling: Team handling experience
