Postgres Data Engineering Role

As a seasoned data engineer, we are seeking an expert in Postgres SQL to join our team and contribute to the design and implementation of efficient data storage and retrieval systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Modeling:

Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing star schema, facts & dimensions for optimal data storage and retrieval.

Query Writing:

Crafting advanced Postgres SQL queries using CTEs, window functions, indexing, and optimization techniques is a must-have skill for this role.

Semi-structured Data Handling:

Effectively managing json/jsonb in Postgres for seamless data processing is a key responsibility of this position.

ETL/ELT Tools:

Utilizing Airbyte for efficient data transfer and preparation is an essential skill required for this role.

Dashboard Preparation:

Preparing high-quality data for dashboards, with proficiency in Tableau a plus, is a critical aspect of this position.

Communication:

Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure successful project outcomes is a vital part of this role.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering.
  • Strong Postgres SQL expertise.
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools.
