Data Engineer Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled data engineer to join our team. As a key member of the organization, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data systems that drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with data analysts and platform teams to analyze and optimize existing data systems and models.
  • Work closely with the business and analytics team to understand business needs and translate them into long-term solution data models.
  • Develop conceptual data models and data flows in conjunction with data ingestion teams from various business areas.
  • Ensure the performance of reporting solutions produced jointly with Platform and Development teams.
  • Establish best practices for data coding, naming conventions, default values, semantics, data dictionary, and ensure consistency within the system.
  • Review modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility.
  • Implement data strategies and develop physical data models.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years hands-on experience with physical and relational data modeling, with overall 10+ years of industry experience.
  • Expert knowledge of metadata management and related tools.
  • Knowledge of mathematical foundations and statistical analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills.
