Accounting Manager Job Description

The role of Accounting Manager involves overseeing all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. This position requires a strong background in accounting principles, financial management, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the team to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting and tax laws, GAAP, and IFRS standards.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement business strategies.
  • Provide expert guidance on accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, and Canadian payroll software like Ceridian, WagePoint.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Professional certification (CPA, CA) is an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and financial management.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic micros.
