Snowflake Data Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data models, optimizing micro-partitioning, and developing complex SQL queries.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Snowflake development, strong knowledge of SQL and basic JavaScript stored procedures, and working knowledge of Tasks, Streams, Stages, File Formats, Time Travel, dbt core concepts, warehouse sizing, auto-suspend/resume, query optimization, RBAC, data types, semi-structured data, SnowSQL CLI, and Snowflake web interface.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Modeling: Design and implement data models that meet business requirements.
  • ETL/ELT Pipelines: Build efficient ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake Tasks, Streams, and Stored Procedures.
  • Complex Queries: Develop complex SQL queries with window functions, CTEs, and pivots.
  • Warehouse Management: Manage multi-cluster warehouses and implement resource monitors for cost control.
Requirements:
  • Hands-on Experience: Proven experience with Snowflake development.
  • Strong Skills: Strong knowledge of Snowflake SQL and basic JavaScript stored procedures.
