LMS Specialist

Job Overview:

The LMS Associate builds and maintains courses on the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) to provide high-quality learning experiences. Key responsibilities include course content creation, word document formatting, stakeholder collaboration, and ensuring accessibility and quality standards.

  • Build and maintain courses in Canvas LMS, aligning with instructional design specifications.
  • Develop, format, and organize content pages, HTML pages, quizzes, assignments, and documents according to design document guidelines and accessibility standards.
  • Create and manage course assets to meet quality standards.

This role requires strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and adherence to guidelines.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in technology.
  • 1 to 4 years of working knowledge on HTML.
  • Experience working on the Canvas LMS and/or Content Management System (CMS).
  • Basic knowledge of CSS, JS, and accessibility standards for course design.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and authorizing tools such as Articulate 360 and H5P.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
