Lead Organic Compound Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Organic Compound Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, synthesizing, and characterizing organic compounds for various applications.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and Execute Synthesis Routes: Develop and implement effective synthesis routes to target compounds using your knowledge of organic chemistry principles and techniques.
  • Purification and Characterization: Utilize analytical techniques such as NMR, HPLC, GC-MS, and IR spectroscopy to purify and characterize organic molecules.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze and interpret experimental data to troubleshoot reactions and optimize synthetic routes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and address project challenges.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures, results, and observations.
  • Staying Current: Stay up-to-date with literature and technological advancements in organic chemistry to contribute to the development of novel methodologies and technologies.
Requirements:
  • Education: PhD / Master's degree in organic chemistry or related field(s), or evidence of exceptional ability.
  • Experience: 1-2+ years of industrial experience preferred.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of organic chemistry principles and techniques, hands-on experience with organic synthesis, purification, and characterization methods, proficiency in using laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced research environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
