Job Title: Network Infrastructure Architect

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain cloud network infrastructure, including physical and software-defined networking (SDN) frameworks.
  • Ensure high availability, flexibility, and network performance while maintaining service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Develop and update infrastructure documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members on day-to-day changes, incidents, and requests, providing expert technical guidance and support.
  • Oversee a team of Network Engineers, evaluate their performance, and provide feedback to improve individual and team performance.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance and capacity metrics, identify risks, and make recommendations to mitigate them.
  • Prepare and deliver solution presentations, proposals, and technical validation activities, including proof-of-concept exercises.

Requirements:

  • At least 6-8 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining data center networks, L2/L3 technologies, routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other related equipment.
  • Strong fundamentals and understanding of WAN & Routing technologies, including WAN protocols, GRE VPNs, IPSEC based VPNs, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VRRP/HSRP, EVPN, and more.
  • Familiarity with security technologies, including firewalls, ACLs, NAT, IPS, IDS, RADIUS, TACACS+, IAS, and VPN technologies.
  • Experience with switching technologies, including VLANs, VXLAN, LACP, EtherChannel, 802.3ad, VTP, and 802.1q.
  • Knowledge of QoS, including basic QoS commands and implementations.
  • Experience with network monitoring protocols and tools, such as SNMP, NetFlow, Zabbix, PRTG, and others.
  • Good knowledge of SDN technologies, preferably hands-on experience with any one of the major SDN providers – VMWare NSX, Juniper Contrail/Tungsten, Arista, Cisco, and others.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly narrow down and resolve complex problems.
  • A highly motivated individual who can demonstrate effective project management and completion of complex network tasks with minimal guidance.
  • A motivated learner who can quickly learn new technologies and keep networking skills current with emerging trends.
  • Experience leading a team of at least 4 people in this or a similar role.
