About HR Compliance Specialist Role

An HR Compliance Specialist is a professional responsible for ensuring that an organization adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures. They play a crucial role in preventing illegal, unethical, or improper conduct within the organization, found in various industries, including finance, healthcare, manufacturing, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards applicable to the organization, interpreting and communicating regulatory changes and their potential impact.
  • HR Compliance: Manage government authority inspections related to ESIC, EPF, LWF, PT, Minimum wages, etc., coordinating and facilitating documents/evidence submission for internal and departmental audits and reviews.
  • Policy Development and Implementation: Develop, update, and implement compliance policies and procedures, ensuring employees are aware of and adhere to these policies.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records of communications, agreements, and interactions, preparing regular reports on the status of liaisons and collaborative efforts.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential compliance risks and areas of vulnerability within the organization, conducting risk assessments and developing strategies to mitigate identified risks.
  • Compliance Liaison: Serve as the point of contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors, collaborating with legal counsel on compliance-related matters.
  • Ethical Standards: Promote and enforce ethical standards and a code of conduct within the organization.

Prerequisites:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., law, business, finance).
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to the industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience in compliance-related roles often preferred.

Estimated Salary Range: ₹750,000 - ₹1,200,000 per annum, based on location and experience. Note: Salary estimates may vary depending on individual circumstances.
