Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst Job Opportunity
Job Summary:A SOC analyst is responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats within an organization's IT infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Schellman Methodology is required.
- The analyst will lead associates and peers through projects.
- Certifications such as ISO LA, CISA, CISSP, AWS CCP are necessary.
- Successful project management from initiation to completion is essential.
- Understand and articulate key concepts related to Schellman's service lines and their leaders.
- Demonstrate knowledge of SOC 1 General Instructions on Auditing Standards (GITCs) and each of the five Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Privacy criteria for SOC 2.
- Identify and explain the impact of Principal Service Commitments and System Requirements on the scope of a SOC 2 engagement.
- Know and explain the four report opinion outcomes and be able to draft modified opinions.
- Identify potential exceptions that could yield a qualified opinion.
- Exhibit self-organization skills and proactively plan for future projects.
- Working knowledge of Schellman's services, methodology, and relevant professional standards.
- Requisite knowledge of applicable technology and security domains.
- High level of attention to detail and quality of work product.
- Client service-oriented.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management, technology, or other relevant subject area, or equivalent years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- 2+ years of related professional services experience in information security auditing, assessment, consulting or compliance, focused on ITGC or SOC controls.
- Ability to work well independently, within a team and with clients as well as travel approximately 40-50% of the time.
- Current or working towards obtaining at least one certification relevant to Schellman's services.
