About the Role

We are looking for a talented writer and editor to join our team, responsible for creating engaging sports content that resonates with readers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports, excellent writing and editing skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit and publish 18-20 articles daily, ensuring high-quality content that meets our standards.
  • Conduct thorough research to fact-check and verify information, guaranteeing accuracy and reliability.
  • Analyze article performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize content accordingly.
  • Work closely with writers and editors to refine and elevate content, ensuring it meets our editorial excellence standards.
  • Mentor and guide writers to help them grow and evolve as contributors to the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Media/Journalism, or similar discipline.
  • 6-12 months of experience in sports content editing, proofreading, or a related role.
  • Strong command of the English language and understanding of American culture.
  • Energy and creativity to bring compelling stories to life.
  • Leadership skills to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Possess basic knowledge of SEO principles, including crafting engaging headings and subheadings.
