US Sports News Editor

We are seeking a highly skilled US Sports News Editor to join our editorial team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for verifying the accuracy of statistical data and facts, proofreading articles, and enhancing their quality before publication.

About the Role:

  • Edit and publish 20-25 articles daily, ensuring timely publication of priority news-based articles.
  • Proofread articles to eliminate grammatical and factual errors, and check for plagiarism.
  • Conduct research to verify facts and identify incorrect claims.
  • Mentor and guide writers to improve their quality, output, and performance.
  • Oversee smooth daily operations of writers in the sports division.
  • Perform other key duties as instructed by the Editorial Team Lead.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6-12 months of experience in proofreading and/or content editing.
  • Prior experience leading a team of writers is an additional asset.
