Job Overview

As a cybersecurity specialist, you will be responsible for protecting our systems and data from potential threats. Your expertise in security tools, scripting, and automation will be essential in maintaining the integrity of our network.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including risk management, threat analysis, and incident response. You should also have experience with security tools such as Imperva WAF, and be familiar with operating system security features, particularly Linux.

In this role, you will work closely with the team to identify and mitigate potential security risks. You will analyze complex cybersecurity issues, provide valuable feedback on security processes, and suggest improvements to enhance the security posture of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Implement security measures to prevent cyber attacks and maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
  2. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security weaknesses.
  3. Develop and maintain documentation on security procedures and protocols.
  4. Collaborate with the development team to ensure secure coding practices and integrate security into the software development life cycle.
  5. Participate in incident response efforts and contribute to the development of incident response plans and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology or any relevant certifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with basic understanding of TCP/UDP packets, security tools such IDS/IPS, Web proxies, DNS security, DDoS protection, firewalls.
  • Proven experience with cybersecurity tools and practices.
  • Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, and process automation using tools like Docker.
  • Usage of development tools like Git, VSCode is mandatory.
