We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer to play a crucial role in architecting and building the core distributed systems that provide a reliable and scalable foundation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and Build: Design, develop, and operate foundational backend services that form the backbone of the platform, ensuring they meet rigorous standards for performance and reliability.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship through exemplary code, design documents, and thoughtful code reviews. You will drive best practices in system design and raise the bar for the entire team.
  • Foundational Impact: Take ownership of complex technical projects from conception to deployment. We are looking for engineers who are focused on delivering pragmatic, robust solutions.
  • Solve Complex Problems: Tackle challenging technical issues in distributed computing, large-scale data processing, and overall system architecture.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a proven track record of designing and building complex, large-scale distributed systems.
  • Deep expertise in backend development, including system architecture, data modeling, and API design. Strong proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • A strong bias for action and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving. Experience with modern cloud and data infrastructure is essential.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, C++). Experience with or interest in TypeScript is beneficial.
