Private Equity Fund Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Private Equity Fund Analyst to join our team.

  • Job Description:
  • Update and manage portfolio details of various private equity funds, ensuring accurate and timely information for stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain pre-defined investor-specific quarterly reporting templates, providing tailored insights into fund performance.
  • Analyze PE fund performance by reviewing cash flows, quarterly reports, and financial statements, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Calculate fund valuation data, including investment cost, realized/unrealized value, gross/net multiple, and key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, EBITDA, net debt, and valuation/leverage multiples.
  • Track operational KPIs and provide regular updates on a quarterly basis, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Create and update fund track records, reconciling data using cash flow notices to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform advanced analytics, including attribution and value creation analysis, to inform strategic decisions.
  • Reconcile portfolio-level operational data, including geographical presence, headquarters, and portfolio leverage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain timely information and communicate status to clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Post-graduate degree or equivalent professional certification in finance or a related field.
  • 1-10 years of experience in relevant financial services, preferably with management reporting or operational finance expertise and some research background.
  • Proficiency in tools such as E-front+, Power BI, and Microsoft Access, with an added advantage for those familiar with these technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience working proactively to enhance processes, procedures, or outcomes that benefit the organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
