Job Title: Data Migration Professional

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Specialist to lead our end-to-end data migration process, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of migrated data. This includes developing a comprehensive data migration strategy, managing data quality, and coordinating with technical teams to validate and test data in the target system.

  • The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in data migration, data integration, or data management roles, with a proven track record of leading at least one full-cycle data migration for a major ERP, HCM, or CRM implementation.
  • They will also have experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, and BAAN, as well as familiarity with data migration tools.
  • A strong understanding of data modeling, master data management (MDM), and data governance is essential, along with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills are also required, as well as project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop the overall data migration strategy, scope, and roadmap in alignment with program objectives and timelines.
  2. Collaborate with business, IT, and external partners to define data requirements, mapping rules, and transformation logic.
  3. Identify data sources and assess readiness, quality, and potential risks.
  4. Lead the execution of data migration activities across all project phases: extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), validation, and reconciliation.
  5. Manage migration of master data, transactional data, and historical records from legacy systems to the target platform.
  6. Coordinate with functional and technical teams to validate and test data in the target system.
  7. Implement automated and repeatable data migration processes.
  8. Define and enforce data quality rules, cleansing standards, and validation procedures.
  9. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of migrated data with regulatory and audit standards.
  10. Coordinate data reconciliation, defect tracking, and issue resolution processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in data migration, data integration, or data management.
  • Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, BAAN, etc.
  • Familiarity with data migration tools.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, MDM, and data governance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
