Data Migration Quality Assurance

Project Overview:

This role supports a critical data migration initiative, ensuring seamless transition from legacy application to modernized platform. The engineer will be the sole Data QA resource, guaranteeing data integrity and dashboard accuracy throughout the migration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute comprehensive testing of ETL pipelines and data warehouse migrations
  • Monitor and troubleshoot scripts across AWS environments
  • Validate QuickSight dashboards and reporting accuracy
  • Collaborate with engineering and leadership to ensure smooth data flow and visibility

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with AWS services: Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda, CloudWatch, EventBridge, Batch Jobs, QuickSight
  • Strong SQL expertise (joins, subqueries, analytical functions)
  • Proficiency in RDBMS (MySQL, Oracle SQL) and SSIS
  • Hands-on experience with UNIX commands for log analysis and job monitoring
  • Experience writing test automation scripts for data pipelines

Nice to Have Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience automating data testing using AI/ML tools
  • CI/CD pipeline integration for test automation
