Medical Oncology Nurse Job Description

Everhope Oncology aims to revolutionize cancer care by making high-quality treatment more accessible, patient-friendly, and closer to home. We are backed by a leading hospital system and healthcare venture capital firm.

We plan to establish a nationwide network of medical and surgical oncology facilities, starting in Delhi and Mumbai, and expanding to 10 cities over the next three years. Our mission is to bring expert-led early diagnosis, daycare chemotherapy, and surgical oncology to locations where patients need them most.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Admission, Discharge, and Transfer: Manage patient processes in accordance with hospital protocols.
  • Comprehensive Patient Assessment: Monitor vital signs, perform physical examinations, and continuously assess patient conditions.
  • Treatment Administration: Administer prescribed oncology treatments, including chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy, while monitoring for adverse reactions.
  • Chemoport and PICC Line Management: Efficiently insert, maintain, and monitor chemoports and PICC lines to support patients requiring long-term intravenous therapies.
  • Symptom Management: Identify and manage treatment-related side effects, providing appropriate interventions to ensure patient comfort.
  • Patient and Family Education: Offer clear information about diagnoses, treatment plans, and self-care strategies, addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Coordination of Care: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring seamless patient care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all aspects of care and treatment.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols to maintain a secure environment for patients and staff.
