Biology Research Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Biology Research Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fine-tuning large language models using strong analytical and English comprehension skills.

This is an excellent opportunity to apply your knowledge of Biology in a cutting-edge research environment. If you have a solid foundation in Biology, particularly at PhD-level programs, and can break down complex biological concepts into simple explanations, we encourage you to apply.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Biology, including a PhD or Postdoctoral degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related fields. They will also possess good research and analytical skills, as well as the ability to provide constructive feedback and detailed annotations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and solving challenging Biology problems to probe large language model limitations
  • Developing high-quality solutions with clear and rigorous reasoning
  • Collaborating with LLM researchers to align problem types with evaluation goals
  • Contributing to new evaluation benchmarks based on Biology curricula spanning to PhD-level topics
Requirements:
  • Pursuing a Ph.D./Postdoctoral degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related fields
  • Good research and analytical skills
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and detailed annotations
  • Creative and lateral thinking abilities
  • Excellent structured communication and collaboration skills in a remote setting
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting
  • Desktop/Laptop setup with a good internet connection
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex biological problems with a structured approach
  • Ability to explain Biology concepts clearly using simple language, visuals, and simulations when needed
