We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tower Design & Estimation Expert to join our team.

Job Description

The role involves designing, estimating, planning, and executing transmission line and telecom tower projects with a strong focus on quality, cost, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in design engineering, estimation, tendering, and planning within the OHTL (Overhead Transmission Lines) and Substation domains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Calculations: Prepare detailed calculations, structural analysis, and drawings in compliance with international standards.
  • Estimation: Develop BOQ, BOM, and cost estimations for tendering and project execution.
  • Tender Evaluation: Evaluate client specifications, tender documents, and provide technical & commercial proposals.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate with engineering, procurement, fabrication, and site execution teams to ensure alignment of design with project requirements.
  • Tower Optimization: Perform load analysis, proto development support, and optimization of tower design for cost-effectiveness.
  • Leadership: Lead the estimation process for domestic and international transmission & substation projects.
  • Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessment, and value engineering for new projects.
  • Planning and Scheduling: Support planning, scheduling, and resource management to meet project deadlines.
  • Clients Liaison: Liaise with clients, consultants, and third-party inspection agencies for design approvals and clarifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Civil Engineering (Master's in Engineering preferred).
  • 5-12+ years of experience in Tower Design, Estimation, and Project Planning in Power Transmission / Telecom Tower industry.
  • Hands-on expertise in design software (STAAD, PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, MS Tower) and ERP tools (SAP/JDE).
  • Strong knowledge of international standards (IS, IEC, ASCE, ASTM, etc.).
  • Experience in global tendering & estimation for OHTL, Substations, and Telecom Tower projects.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
