As a Senior Data Engineer at Foodsmart, you'll be part of a team that is passionate, supportive, and driven by a shared purpose.

About the role:

The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for constructing and optimizing our data pipeline architecture. They will design, build, and maintain highly scalable data pipelines, optimize data delivery, and automate data processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the optimization and scalability of data delivery pipelines
  • Architecting, building, and maintaining robust, high-throughput data pipelines and infrastructure
  • Partnering with data architects and analysts to design solutions that meet evolving data requirements and business objectives
  • Establishing best practices for data quality, governance, security, and compliance
  • Driving continuous improvement in data engineering processes

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • 6+ years of professional experience in data engineering
  • Deep expertise in modern cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery)
  • Advanced SQL skills and strong experience with relational and columnar database systems
  • Proficiency in data pipeline/workflow orchestration tools
  • Solid programming background for data processing and automation
  • Experience designing data models and schemas for operational and analytical use cases
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred qualifications include familiarity with healthcare data standards or regulated data domains and experience in backend development.
